One Direction has reached a staggering number 1 in 40 countries worldwide with the pre-order for their new single, making it the fastest selling pre-order in history.

The single was released through iTunes pre-order at midnight yesterday and immediately hit number 1 in 40 countries, including the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Spain, France, Singapore, Brazil and Mexico.

The largest group in the world release their highly anticipated new single on September 30 in the UK and 1 October in the U.S. and Canada.
